Indiana Target Area: Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, Noble, and St. Joseph Counties.

AT 204 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED BANDS OF MODERATE SNOW WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH PER HOUR, WINDS GREATER THAN 30 MPH, ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM ROSELAND TO SYRACUSE TO 7 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ALBION...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH. VISIBILITY IN THIS SNOW BAND WILL FALL BELOW ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES WITH SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION UP TO AN INCH PER HOUR CREATING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ON AREA ROADS. GUSTY WINDS WILL CAUSE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. TRAVELERS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION, ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS. LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THESE BANDS OF MODERATE SNOW INCLUDE GRANGER, MISHAWAKA, NEW PARIS, GOSHEN,  LIGONIER, OSCEOLA, ALBION, AND KIMMEL. CONDITIONS WILL DETERIORATE RAPIDLY. STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW, WITH VISIBILITY REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES. TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
