Special Weather Statement Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Cass, Fulton, Marshall, Miami, and St. Joseph Counties.

 

Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of St. Joseph, Fulton, Cass, Miami, Marshall, Western Cass, and Southeastern Berrien Counties through 930 PM EDT.

At 852 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from New Buffalo to near Knox to near Brookston. Movement was northeast at 50 mph.


HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near; Koontz Lake around 910 PM EDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Plymouth, Buchanan, Berrien Springs, Logansport, Niles, Royal Center, Lakeville, Dowagiac and Bremen. This includes the following highways, Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 64 and 87. Interstate 94 in Michigan between mile markers 24 and 28.
