Winter Weather Advisory Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Kosciusko, La Porte, Marshall, Miami, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley Counties.

 

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ THIS EVENING TO 1 AM EST /MIDNIGHT CST/ THURSDAY.

*WHAT: Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches expected.

*WHERE: Much of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.

*WHEN: This evening through late Wednesday night.

*IMPACTS: Travel will be very difficult, especially for the Wednesday morning commute. The Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes may also be impacted.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Patchy blowing and drifting snow is expected in open areas Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

*WHAT: Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches possible.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: From Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.

*IMPACTS: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes and also extend into Thursday.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Travel is also likely to be greatly hampered by late Wednesday as snowfall increases and winds become gusty causing blowing and drifting snow.
