Winter Storm Warning Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties.

 

WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EST /8 PM CST/ THIS EVENING.

*WHAT: Periods of moderate snow will gradually taper late this afternoon. Storm total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Northeast winds will gust to 30 to 35 mph this afternoon into early this
evening.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: Until 9 PM EST /8 PM CST/ this evening.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Travel will be difficult. Strong winds will result in blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility.

Indiana Target Area: Allen, Cass, De Kalb, Huntington, Miami, Noble, Wabash, White and Whitley Counties.

 

WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY.

*WHAT: Moderate to heavy snow expected along with gusty northeast winds and significant blowing and drifting snow. Storm total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Northeast winds will gust up to 30 to 40 mph resulting in blowing snow, reduced visibility, and hazardous travel conditions.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: Until 1 AM EST Sunday.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Travel will be difficult, if not impossible in some areas. Strong winds will result in blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility.

*WHAT: Moderate to heavy snow expected along with gusty northeast winds and significant blowing and drifting snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches expected, with locally higher amounts possible.

*WHERE: Starke and Marshall Counties.

*WHEN: From 4 AM EST /3 AM CST CST/ to 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ Saturday.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Snow will overspread the area overnight and continue into Saturday afternoon. Moderate to heavy snow, combined with gusty northeast winds up to 30 to 35 mph Saturday and early Saturday evening will create hazardous travel conditions due to blowing and drifting and reduced visibility. The heaviest snow is expected from Saturday morning through early Saturday afternoon.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.

*WHAT:_Heavy snow possible along with gusty winds and significant blowing and drifting snow. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
*WHERE:_Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.
*WHEN:_From late Friday night through late Saturday night.
*ADDITIONAL DETAILS:_Snow overspreading the area overnight Friday and continuing into Saturday afternoon. Moderate to heavy snow combined with gusty northeast winds to 25 to 35 mph Saturday and Saturday evening will create hazardous travel conditions.
