THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING UNTIL 1:45 PM EDT..

AT 1252 PM EDT, SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WARSAW TO AKRON TO 7 MILES NORTH OF MEXICO AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

HAZARD: QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND 60 MPH WIND GUSTS.

IMPACT: HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE TO ROOFS, SIDING AND TREES.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS NORTHEAST INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. THE STRONGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH, SMALL HAIL, AND BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS. AT 612 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM NEAR NEAR WINONA LAKE MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. PEA SIZE HAIL, WINDS UP TO 50 MPH, OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE ALL POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM INCLUDE: COLUMBIA CITY, TRI-LAKES, LARWILL, LORANE, GOOSE LAKE, PEABODY, COLLINS, COESSE AND BLUE LAKE.

WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES AND COULD CAUSE SMALL BRANCHES TO BE BLOWN DOWN. ANY UNSECURED OBJECTS WILL ALSO BE BLOWN AROUND.
